When we work together it's not about me - it's about you ...

Having said that, you're probably curious about who I am, and whether I might be a good fit for you.  I'd welcome the chance to discuss this with you in person (you can reach out to me here) but for now, here's a brief summary ...

I spent many years working in various IT management roles in both multinational corporation and small software company environments during which time I faced both professional and personal challenges and changes (- inevitable perhaps over a 25+ year period).  The IT sector provided well for my family and for me but it came at a cost of feeling empty, dissatisfied and constantly waiting for each week to end.  I was committed to my roles but they never really satisfied me.  It wasn't immediately clear what was missing, and while caught up in the day to day busy-ness it took me a long while to notice that I was trying to live someone else's story ...

Eventually, I found an opportunity to stop and reflect on what was really going on.  â€‹I noticed that while I was OK at my roles there had always been a strong pull towards supporting and serving those I worked with to help them be themselves and the best that they could be.  I noticed I had an ability and passion to selflessly support them with empathy, authenticity, honesty, acceptance and compassion.

This inevitably led me to coaching …

I've had the pleasure to support CEOs, Leaders, Managers and those starting out on their career journeys.

I live in the market town of Alton, Hampshire, in the UK and I am a husband and father of three (now young adults).  I've experienced first-hand many of the challenges and dissatisfactions that work can bring and the ups and downs of family life and relationships.

I am an Animas Accredited Coach, holding their ICF Accredited Diploma in Transformational Coaching.

TESTIMONIALS

“ Prior to my coaching session, I'd been feeling pretty muddled on how to tackle a work-related challenge and kept pushing it to one side. Carving out dedicated time to focus on it and really process my options, with the help of a coach navigating me, means I've come out with a clear direction forward that I feel confident in and am going to run at next week. The clarity feels awesome!”

"Tim helped me so much in understanding how to move forward from my stuckness. He is brilliant at holding space to allow whatever comes up for the person to surface.

I look forward to continuing to work with Tim."

“ Tim is an excellent coach, and a very good listener. He's also very friendly and easy to work with, I look forward to our future coaching sessions together!”

“I was stuck in a bit of rut professionally unable to see what my next step was and my relationships were suffering as a result. I was becoming overwhelmed with the uncertainties and choices it was becoming quite paralysing.

My coaching experience with Tim has enabled me to break down problems and work on a small objective and a way of getting there.

For me, the insecurities are around facing up to the reality of my situation and being comfortable 'looking in the mirror' metaphorically and talking to someone about them. It's easier to keep pretending everything is ok to maintain the external facade (charade?), but to explore and probe those feelings is the challenge that I've found to be helpful and Tim has been great at guiding me along that journey.”
